Welcome
We’re a group of people who love making art together. From painting outdoors to working in the studio, we support and encourage each other to try new things, learn, and grow. We get out to see exhibitions and events around the North Island, and we aim to share our own work through exhibitions each year. With both beginners and experienced artists among us, everyone has something to offer.
Would you like to have a great day painting the beautiful landscape at Omaka Lodge boutique accommodation and gardens?
Art in the Ruapehu Community recently had a great day painting en plein air at Tongariro National Park.
Art in the Ruapehu Community (ARC) was formed in 2014 with a mission to support, promote, and foster the arts throughout the Ruapehu District. The group is open to artists of all ages and at every stage of their creative journey, providing an inclusive and encouraging environment for both emerging and established creatives. Through regular monthly art activities held across the region, ARC creates opportunities for connection, collaboration, and artistic growth, with many of these gatherings open for the public to attend and enjoy.
ARC offers access to a wide range of art materials and frequently hosts workshops across a variety of creative mediums, helping participants explore new techniques and develop their skills. Whether you are looking to learn, share, or simply be inspired, ARC provides a welcoming space to engage with the arts.
